Mine differs from that photo only in that the seat is a kind of tan colour (original) and the screen on the flyer has had an overlay put on it for the photo, the cars and screen dont look like that on the actual machine.įor those not familiar daytona 500 is more or less an EM game, it's a late one which has a digital game pcb but still runs EM gameplay, there is no video display, the screen is a wooden board with a white strip painted on it.

you can accelerate and steer ok but I discovered theres a motor that controls the rotation of your car and I havnt seen it do anything, collision detection and sound is ok, score display doesnt count, the score display tube works, but poorly, I'd have replaced it if I could source another one. When you switch it on it goes straight into gameplay and stays there forever, coin switches dont respond, neither does the gear shifter. It's an Allied Leisure Daytona 500 in original unmodified complete condition, no water damage, side art in good condition, seat has a seam that's burst at the top. I've decided I want a pinball machine, and the only way that's going to happen is if I can get daytona 500 out of my coinop room, I dont see myself getting around to repairing it any time in the near future, though I feel like I'll probably regret letting it go.
